Can Hi-Tech help me design what I am looking for?
Yes, we have system designers on our staff that will meet with you to discuss all of your needs and concerns. We work with many subcontractors and can help arrange electrical issues, cabinets for equipment and remotes to help operate a new system.

Can Hi-Tech hook up my audio/video equipment?
Yes, Hi-Tech can hook up all audio and video equipment. We can utilize any of the wires and cables you may already have or provide you with what is needed.

Can Hi-Tech mount my flat panel television?
Hi-Tech can hang a flat panel television in a home or business. We provide several different styles of mounts to allow the TV to tilt, swivel, or pull. We will also work with an electrician to help insure there will be power in the correct place.

Do I have to use a screen?
You do not have to have a dedicated screen. Many people design home theaters with flat panel televisions instead of a screen. If you are using a projector then a screen will be required to have a good quality picture.

How big does my room have to be for a theater system?
A Hi-Tech system designer can help design a home theater in almost any size room in a house. There is no size restriction on how big the room must be.

I have heard of many types of cables to use to hook up my equipment, what are some that can be used?
There are many different types of cable to use, such as HDMI, Component Video, and Toss Link. A Hi-Tech representative will be happy to explain them to you during the design of the system.

What does 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound mean?
These are types of surround sound. 5.1 means installing two front speakers, two rear speakers, a center channel speaker and a sub woofer. 7.1 is the same 5.1 with an additional pair of mid range speakers. Both are great for surround sound audio.
